MEDITS: a scientific trawling survey

June 2024, the MEDITS survey in the Gulf of Lion, on board L'Europe: deckhand and bridge watch for scientific bottom trawling.

On the working deck, the trawl net and its yellow floats. The catch arrives in orange baskets, then the fish go onto the measuring board to be measured and weighed.

On the 14th, a stopover in Port-la-Nouvelle: the channel and its small boats in the evening. Under way, the white wake on a blue sea; some evenings, the sun sets over the water, red and gold.
